The R2DBE currently does not support automatic gain control. In order to ensure proper 2-bit sampling manual requantization must be done at regular intervals (preferably during every scan gap).

As user oper:

python /usr/local/src/r2dbe/sofware/alc.py

the results can be checked with:

python /usr/local/src/r2dbe/sofware/r2dbe_hist.py

and should look something like this:
